1.2.2
Fixed
- Undo captures the original text before editing, including immediate replacement or deletion of a note.
- Undo and redo remain attached to the correct note when switching drafts, reopening notes, or waiting for autosave.
- Large undo snapshots retain the immediately preceding state. If browser storage rejects history, undo remains available while the page stays open and shows a notice.
- Switching notes after an autosave timer fires no longer starts a duplicate scheduled save.
1.2.1
Fixed
- Markdown shortcuts preserve the words around headings, code, dividers, quotes and lists, including lines between unformatted paragraphs.
- Nested inline formatting and formatted links convert together; inline code keeps its contents literal, and typing resumes outside the style.
- Task lists keep one checkbox per row, including newly continued items.
- Bold toggles off correctly, new notes keep their title focus, and toolbar strikethrough survives saving and reopening. Word counts and previews respect block boundaries.
- Browser-local notes and folders use IndexedDB, so large images and undo history no longer compete with writing for local-storage space. Existing notes migrate without clearing browser data.
Changed
- Orbit constellations branch naturally instead of closing into polygons. Mouse drift needs no modifier; a larger quiet center and star targets make selection easier. The folder crosshair is gone.
- Folder controls and New note use quieter glass; selection auroras fade on both edges, previews stay inset, and webbed bundles retain folders.
- Every app scrollbar shares the writing pad's slim, rounded, translucent thumb, transparent track and arrow-free styling. The pad retains its typing fade, reading visibility and comfortable right-gutter position.
1.2.0
Added
- Folders. File a note from the pad's top-left corner: type
#Folder nameand press Enter. Names can hold spaces, and a note can sit in as many folders as you like. - The notes list groups notes by folder. Groups fold away, and notes drag between them. Hold Ctrl or Alt to add a note to a folder without taking it out of the one it came from. The list scrolls by itself while you hold a note near its edge.
- Orbit: your folders as a field of stars. Each folder is a bright, named star in a colour you choose, and its notes are smaller stars joined into a constellation around it. Drag to pan, scroll to zoom, or hold Ctrl and move the mouse to fly. Right-click empty sky to add a folder; right-click a folder to rename it, recolour it or delete it. The drawer at the bottom holds every note, ready to drag onto a star.
- The pad's top-right corner has a row of Markdown formatting (headings, bold, italic, quotes, lists, tasks, code, links), for styling words after you have selected them. Beside it,
.mdcopies the whole note to your clipboard as Markdown.
Changed
- The open note in the list glows with a slow aurora instead of a flat box.
- The pad's scrollbar stays out of sight while you type. It shows when you scroll.
Fixed
- Typing
>at the start of a line inside a note could quote the whole note. This happened on lines started with Shift+Enter. It now quotes only that line, in older notes too.
1.1.2
Changed
- The published build is hardened: no readable names, comments or strings, and a licence notice at the top of the page.
- Clearing can no longer be embedded in another site's page.
1.1.1
Fixed
- A heading typed at the top of a paragraph no longer swallows whatever sits above it. On a paragraph that followed a divider or a list — pasted text especially — the new heading reached backwards and pulled the divider and the list inside itself.
1.1.0
Fixed
- Markdown typed in front of words you had already written now converts that line. It used to add an empty block at the bottom of the note and leave the sentence where it was.
- The divider shortcut (
---) and the code-fence shortcut (three backticks) no longer delete the last characters of the line they are typed on. - Headings end when you press Enter. A sixth-level heading used to carry on forever, so everything written after it stayed a heading.
- Clicking the empty space below the last line starts a new line instead of continuing the block above it — which is why text typed after a heading came out large and bold.
Changed
[]converts the line you are on, the same way-does.- The writing pad's scrollbar lost its arrow buttons. It fades away while you write and stays visible while you read.
1.0.0
First public release.
Added
- A private place to write. Notes live in your browser and are never sent anywhere.
- Markdown shortcuts as you type: headings, quotes, lists, tasks, dividers, code blocks, and inline bold, italic, strike, code and links.
- Your own background image or GIF, with veil, writing-pad opacity and blur.
- Suggested ink colours drawn from the background, every one of them tested for legibility against the surface your words actually sit on.
- Undo and redo history kept per note, and a note reopens where you left the cursor.
- Webbed bundles: one file holding every note, your appearance and your background, to carry writing between browsers and machines.
